Victor van Vuuren
After graduating from law, Victor began his career with the South African Department of Justice. Later, he moved to the private sector as corporate legal advisor and director of human resources at the executive level in large corporations.
Later, Victor helped establish a unified South African business federation, Business Unity South Africa, and was appointed as its first COO.
In February 2009, Victor was appointed Director of the International Labor Organization, Eastern and Southern Africa, which covers 23 countries. In January 2016, Victor was appointed Director of the Business Department of the Office of the International Labor Organization, Geneva.
Victor is currently the president of the UNTFSSE (United Nations Working Group on Social and Solidarity Economy), president of the Board of Directors of PAGE (Association for Action in the Green Economy), member of the Supervisory Board of the Capital Coalition and member of COP26. Energy Transition Council.
Victor was president of COPAC (Committee for the Promotion and Advancement of Cooperatives), he was part of the South African Council for Higher Education, the National Council for Economic Development and Labor, the Board of Directors of the International Labor Organization, the Council of Employers Pan-African Confederation and the South African Electric Power Companies Research Advisory Board.
