Teresa Carvajal Salcedo
Zootechnician from the National University of Colombia, Master in Animal Production from the Federal University of Pelotas, Brazil, with doctoral studies in Agroforestry at the University of Matanzas Camilo Cienfuegos-Indio Hatuey Pastures and Forages Experimental Station, in Cuba. For more than 10 years she has been the Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of the University of Applied and Environmental Sciences (UDCA) in Bogotá, Colombia.
He has been on several occasions a member of the Board of Directors and the General Assembly of the UDCA. She has a long career as a professor and university researcher in various areas of animal production, as well as in rural development and rural women. He has led and coordinated various community outreach projects in agreement with the city of Bogotá, mainly aimed at animal preservation and welfare.
Currently, she is the President of the Professional Council of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics of Colombia (COMVEZCOL) and the Coordinator of the Agricultural Area of the UnAgro-Ambiental university network of the Union of Universities of Latin America and the Caribbean (UDUAL). She served for several years as President of the Colombian Association of Faculties of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics (ASFAMEVEZ).
