María Eugenia Limón
Born in San Bartolomé de la Torre in 1982 (38 years old). He graduated from the University of Seville and later did postgraduate studies on communication, a subject in which he has worked as a professional. After studying and working in different cities in Spain, she returned to her town where she began her career as a public manager, first as deputy mayor and later as mayor. He acceded to the Mayor's Office in the last municipal elections, where he obtained a percentage of support of almost 82%. This overwhelming support was translated into having 10 of the 11 councilors and councilors of the Corporation.
It is firmly committed to innovative public management that puts people at the center. He defends the importance of politics as an essential instrument for constant change towards a better and more egalitarian society. He has an experience of more than 13 years in public administration.
María Eugenia Limón has extensive training in the field of communication. He graduated in Audiovisual Communication from the University of Seville. Later he completed two specialization masters. The first one on Image, Communication and Protocol and the second on Language and Literature Teaching (CAP).
It maintains a permanent interest in continuous training that, given its current areas of responsibility, focuses on aspects such as social innovation, digital transformation, public management through open governments, the development of smart territories for an efficient use of technology. that optimizes the responsible use of resources and the green economy. In addition, it is constantly trained in issues that connect with its main values, such as equality.
After working in the private sphere in companies linked to the communication sector, she was elected in the municipal candidacy of the PSOE of her locality, San Bartolomé de la Torre. She was deputy mayor between 2007 and 2019. She has been mayor since the last municipal elections, where she led the socialist candidacy and obtained almost 82% of the votes. Since 2013, she has also been a territorial deputy in the Huelva Provincial Council. In 2015 he took over a Vice Presidency in this institution with responsibilities in local development, infrastructures and social services. In 2019, she became vice president of the smart development area, with skills in innovation, agriculture and rural development. He has recently acceded to the First Vice Presidency with responsibilities also in areas such as grant management. In the supramunicipal area, he has also been a member of the Beturia Commonwealth since 2011.
On the other hand, María Eugenia Limón has been responsible for Equality of the Andalusian Fund of Municipalities for International Solidarity (FAMSI) between 2015 and 2019. In this same organization she contributed to an outstanding solidarity work as a member and treasurer. In this way, it has participated in different world conferences and seminars on local cooperation and development. In the Andalusian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, he is responsible for the Social Services Commission.
Since November 14, 2020, she has been president of the Huelva Provincial Council. The project of the province to which it aspires and its political values mark the organic lines of its Government at the head of the provincial institution:
