Lea Giménez is head of the Division of Innovation in Citizen Services of the Department of Institutions for Development of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). The thematic areas under his leadership include citizen security and justice, public sector management, data and digital governance, and transparency and integrity. Before joining the IDB, she served as Paraguay's Minister of Finance and Head of the country's National Economic Team. In Paraguay, he chaired the Technical and Economic Tax Team, the Educational Excellence Fund and the National Strategy Commission for Financial Inclusion. Prior to that, he was Paraguay's Vice Minister of Economy and Global Practices Economist on Poverty and Macro Motivation at the World Bank, serving the countries of Asia and Latin America and the Caribbean. His work has focused on the development and implementation of evidence-based policies and strategies to reduce poverty and inequality, promote inclusive economic growth, and support the institutional strengthening of public sector agencies. She served as an adjunct professor at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania, where she earned a Ph.D. in economics.
