Francisco José Toajas Mellado
He studied as an Agricultural Technical Engineer at the "Cortijo el Cuarto" University School of Agricultural Technical Engineering in Seville, graduating in 1992.
He has developed his professional activity as an Expert in Local Development in Sociedad Prodetur SA, since 1996.
In 2006 he was elected secretary general of the PSOE-Las Cabezas de San Juan and, later, appointed candidate for mayor of the municipality to which he acceded a year later after winning the elections by an absolute majority with the support of more than 56% of the votes and eleven councilors. In 2011 and 2015 he repeated victory after obtaining an absolute majority in both cases, and in 2019 for the fourth consecutive time he was re-elected Mayor also this time by an absolute majority, being appointed 2nd Vice President of the Hon. Provincial Council of Seville.
In addition, he is co-president of the UCLG LESD Commission (UCLG LESD Com) and holds the Presidency of the Association for Local Development of the Bajo Guadalquivir Region (ADELQUIVIR).
