The Governance Management Project, which depends on the UNDP Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean, aims to strengthen institutional management capacities for democratic governance. The tools developed within the framework of this project can be seen working in management systems known throughout the region as SIGOB.

The objective of SIGOB is to develop methodologies and instruments that support the political action of the government's top management and help to produce and maintain the necessary conditions for democratic governance. These instruments are intended to reduce the gap between the decisions made by the initiators of government political action and the Executive's ability to carry out those decisions.
