The terrible crisis that is affecting most of the countries is also an opportunity to promote a transformative agenda that points to a development model with attention to the person and the planet. To transform it is necessary to change and in this sense social innovation becomes essential to respond to the old and new challenges that the current situation poses in terms of a new model of production and consumption that is more inclusive and sustainable.

This session aims to show how local economic development, promoting changes in inter-institutional relations at the territorial level, can promote social innovation, through community enterprises, for example, in areas such as the green economy, creating decent employment in times of crisis.
